Your painting is coming along great, but several ideas are swirling in your head, and you’re not sure which one is better and are afraid of messing up?Here are my hacks.
These days, it has been challenging to work on a new painting. Luckily, whenever I get stuck at the crossroads of different ideas and want to save time and paint, luckily, I have a few tricks.
Take a break
When you work on a painting for too long, fatigue sets in and your perception starts to distort—that’s when you’re most likely to overwork the painting or stray from the original idea. Pause, take a walk, have some tea, or go outside; when you return, you’ll see the painting with ‘fresh eyes.’ You’ll be surprised by how much you’ve missed and what adjustments you need to make.
Take a digital photo of your painting
Digitally experiment with various visions on the photo until you are completely satisfied. Then, it’s relatively easy to continue painting on the real canvas by following the digital template!
Stick to your style
if you want to attract a specific clientele, it’s very important that the style of your paintings doesn’t vary too much. The idea that best fits your personal style should take priority. With the rise of social media, various techniques may seem very appealing, but they can lead to straying too far from your personal expression. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have artistic freedom! With thoughtful consideration, you can satisfy your need for expression while refining your recognizable artistic signature.
